NY 2003: Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum

a view of the USS Intrepid while we were on board the Circle Line Cruises

Included in the New York Pass attractions is the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. It's a military and maritime history museum with a collection of museum ships in New York City (wikipedia).
Here are some of the photos taken during our visit to the Intrepid Museum.
making our way to the Intrepid Museum after going on a cruise around Manhattan

at the entrance

it was a sunny day. A good weather to explore the outdoors.
If you're also going on a hot summer's day,
you must remember to put on LOTS of sunblock!

First, we went to the indoor part of the museum.....
checking out the cockpit of this fighter plane
lining up for a chance to be a pilot for a few minutes

our little pilot

what could this one be?

time to call for back up

Then we explored the top deck of the USS Intrepid....
another fighter plane but this one's off limits

a wide range of air support which the USS Intrepid could carry on board

this has been the place with the most number of fighter planes we've even seen

once in a lifetime experience to sit on a torpedo

I guess he's still too short to become a gunner

.... or even the captain of the ship

A visit to the USS Intrepid can entertain the family for a few hours or even a day. This is an attraction not to be missed when visiting the Big Apple.
