West Coast 2015: Third Time's A Charm

Yosemite Falls in 2015

But isn't that the fun in it though? How wonderful it is to be able to visit the same place again (and again) and get a different experience every time. With so many beautiful countries and interesting cities in the world why would we go back to places we have been to? I guess the simple answer would be because travelling is not just about ticking places off our bucket list. It's also about revisiting cities which have left a mark on our wandering souls and brought a lot of unforgettable fun memories to our family.

Jeju Island Road trip in 6 days (June 2014)

Sun, Sea, sand and more, that's what the so-called island of God's that is Jeju Island has in store. With wide range of activities and attractions, one couldn't possibly get enough of this beautiful volcanic island. Although there are trains and buses bringing people around Jeju island, it's relatively small size (about 73kms east to west and 25kms north to south) gave us an idea to have a week-long  family road trip. We have always enjoyed driving around unfamiliar (but relatively safe) places specially when it offers amazing natural scenery.

South Korea in 2 weeks (May/June 2014)

If you're not into tour packages which usually just hops and skips at popular tourist destinations, you can consider my family's customized travel itinerary.

It's not an extensive coverage of all brochure-worthy tourist attractions but a combination of sights and scenery that caters to our family's interests and budget (and maybe yours, too!), as well as energy. And since we've missed out a fair number of places during our first visit, we are definitely looking forward to returning to South Korea sometime in the future.

Konichiwa, Japan: The Land of the Rising Sun

It was in the beginning of 2013 when hubby said maybe this year we could visit Japan. It's not in the initial travel plans for the year, just a spur of the moment decision. I was hesitant at first because I am used to planning way ahead (like a year, minimum 6 months) and the target month to travel was May/June school holidays. That only gave me about 5-6 months preparation. Yes, barely made it to my cut off period.

both hands up for Japan!!!

Euro2011 Spring-Summer Holiday

Early last year, we thought of having a European holiday. We plan to visit my sis-in-law (and her husband) who recently moved to Belgium, and her husband's parents in Germany. We still had plenty of time since our usual planning period is 6 months to one year. Only this time we won't be travelling (and planning) alone but with the company of in-laws from Hong Kong. That would mean 4 adults and 4 children plus 2 adults (already in Europe) equal to 12 people gallivanting around Europe!

NZ 2009 Day 16 - Farewell, New Zealand

Our NZ holiday is finally over.

We checked out early from the hotel, drove the car back to the rental company and then took the shuttle to the airport.
